Sunday

I woke up on Sunday a little later than usual.  I put the last load of weekend wash in the machine and then made cup of coffee.

I was hungry, so I used a roll of pork sausage and made sausage gravy. I cheated and made the biscuits from a roll of Pillsbury “Grands.”

I ate too much of that and then snacked on the biscuits throughout the day.

I finally got back to the dishwasher. I cleaned off the old solder (not an easy task) on the one pipe I can’t cut and slipped on the SharkBite. I swiveled the pipe to the proper position and that highlighted an unforeseen problem. Since the elbows can and do move easily I will have to secure the pipe to the wall to keep it in place. I did buy a pipe hanger, but I think I will need two.

I got out the bucket, crossed my fingers and turned on the water (You always want to do this before hooking it up so that any metallic shavings get washed out of the pipes. I couldn’t find any leaks! But, I think I want to jury-rig something so I can turn it on under pressure and see if it leaks.

But, I had enough of sitting inside the cabinet on the sticky floor for one day.

I went in and watched a cheesy movie about Beowulf. I know the story, of course, and the special effects were pretty good. But, it was just okay…

I warmed up the sausage gravy and ate the last of it with the last two biscuits for dinner (fewer leftovers that way). I watched the news and then some PBS. Unfortunately, Sherlock was not on, just that Downtown Abbey. I watched another taped Tonight Show and then went to bed.

  1. Sherlock is done for this season (four episode run). Fourth episode has been commissioned. Keep in mind there were two years between seasons two and three.

  4. @ Jake: Grrr! I am still waiting for Longmire, Why do they play with us like that?

@ GPF:I can't even imagine enjoying Downtown Abbey. Stuffy British upper-crusts and their servants hold no interest for me... I will check out Mr. Selfridge but have no idea what the plot is...
