It was still above freezing when I woke up Tuesday morning.
So, the drive into work was a non-event.
I went to Kroger’s at lunch and got a few things. Then I
went home and made a ham sandwich. I ate that with a little cottage cheese on
the side.
When I got home after work, it was 53 degrees F. I put my
boots on and went out back to refill the squirrel feeder. I always do before a
storm. Since I was out there anyway, I walked over to the raised bed vegetable
garden to see how it fared over the winter. There was nothing going on there
but it gave me an idea.
I trudged over to Jake's patio (the home of that beautiful
purple crocus) and checked. Sure enough, the crocus was starting to come up!
Thank you, God! There will be a spring!!!
I took a picture for you and also took a picture of the
state park grill which had finally thawed out (so I can show you how much snow
falls tomorrow).
Back inside, I changed clothes and watched the news until
7:00 p.m. Then I warmed up the rest of the beef tips and mushroom gravy. I
served that over the last of the leftover wide egg noodles. I will miss them
both!
I watched NCIS and NCIS L.A. (both were reruns) and went to
bed at 10:00 p.m.

Brat....my crocus are all under 15 inches of snow.....no activity there!!
ReplyDeleteMine were, too until the two day thaw. Maybe they grow under the snow?
