Hump Day

I slept poorly overnight. I kept having strange dreams that woke me up. The last one was that I was sleeping outside on the lawn in front of my Mom’s house in New Baltimore. Caley was curled up next to me. I woke up (in the dream) with a half-smoked cigar in between my lips. Then I woke up (for real) and still had the taste of that cigar in my mouth.  I went to the bathroom and thought, “Weird!” Then I took a p*ss.

It was another sunny day on Wednesday (at least for most of the day). So, after a long ride in (comparatively), and along two hours working, I walked outside at 10:00 a.m.

I went to Time Out for lunch and had a Rueben sandwich (none of the specials sounded that promising).

From there I went to an antique store I had previously visited. I dickered about an item I had stopped in before and spotted. They said it was on consignment and they couldn’t offer a lower price. So, I waited until they tried to call the three phone numbers they had for the owner. He never answered. So, I gave them my cell phone number and went back to work. They called me back before I even got there. They said the owner would knock 20% off the price. I told them I would think about it. I like going to antique stores!

I walked outside again in the afternoon.

Once home (thanks to some gracious folks who let me turn onto San Jose) I grabbed the mail and went inside.  I treated the cat and then started the Wednesday night wash. I worked and played on the computer until about 7:00 p.m.

Then I went out, pulled the truck outside and used the orbital sander (or palm sander, if you prefer that) to take down the rough edges in the sofa table. My back was killing me (from yesterday and today) but I got it sanded to 150 grit (the belt sander was 60 grit, just so you know). I took a picture, but just of the sofa table. That selfie picture of me in the mask was just TMI, LOL!

I blew the sawdust off and out and pulled the truck back in. It was 8:00 p.m., in case you cared.

I blew my nose a couple of times (despite the mask, the sawdust prevails!) and started dinner.

I warmed up a brat and some of the wild rice and ate that watching taped TV. Then I went to bed.
