Monday’s weather was just weird! It was 71 degrees F when I
work up, but the temps were supposed to fall all day. It sprinkled on the way
into work, but it’s supposed to snow overnight!
The winds were terrible, though. We lost power in our
building for a moment or so, but one of our building had a pole come down onto
it. With live wires sparking on the roof, DTE and the fire department evacuated
the building and sent the people home for the day.
I got a salami and Swiss sandwich for lunch and then went to
CVS for some needed supplies.
It was 51 degrees when I left work at 5:00 p.m. There was a
traffic accident on Plymouth, just east of Inkster, so it took much longer to
get home.
I forgot to mention this, but after running all the potato
peels through the garbage disposal, my sink drain backed up (I KNEW I should
have just picked them up and threw them in the trash!) So, when I got home, I
took the trash can out to the road, treated Caley and then changed clothes.
I took everything out of the sink cupboard and then
disconnected the disposal trap. There was nothing in it, so I took off the pipe
leading to the main drain. That was clear, too. So, I ran a snake down the
drain as far as it would go.
Then I put everything back together. In tightening the trap
on the disposal, I managed to loosen the disposal enough that it came off its
flange! Oh, God! I caught it in time and got it back up and on. Whew! That sucker is heavy!!!
I ran a ton of hot water in the sink and saw no sign of back
up. So, I started the dishwasher (which had been full and just waiting since
Sunday night).
I went up in the attic and put away the rose cones and my
rolling walker (finally). I took down a few things and then quit for the night.
I warmed up the last of the pasta and ate a late dinner. I
watched a little TV and then went to bed.
I woke up around 1:00 a.m. for a bathroom break and the
whole backyard was covered with snow!!!
Got up to the attic and get the rose cones out, and the rolling walker, you may need them by the weekend
ReplyDeleteAfter this morning, I had to dig my winter coat back out of the closet, so you might be right!
