It was 77 degrees at 6:00 a.m. and you could feel the
humidity when I left for work. Air you could wear…
The heat and humidity made the morning walk uncomfortable. And, by lunchtime,
it was 88 degrees! I went and got a gyro and a cup of beef vegetable soup at
the Newburgh Grille.
The afternoon walk was worse.
When I got home after work, I was pleased to see the lawn
had been cut. I watered the container gardens, but skipped the raised bed
gardens, as the weatherman keeps saying rain starting tonight and then off and
on for the next four days.
It was too hot to work in the garage as I’d planned. So, I
did some housecleaning instead. Not that it was that pleasant in the house.
Even though the air conditioner was running continuously, it only got down to
77 degrees inside. Thank God for the bedroom fan!
I ate the rest of the crab ravioli and another side salad
for dinner. Then I watched a movie about Geronimo until 10:30 and bed time.
