For better or for worse, our dads are our earliest teachers.
They taught us that “money doesn’t grow on trees” and that “a little dirt never
hurt anybody.” They taught us that “it builds character,” even though “it” was
usually just code for “mowing the lawn.” And our dads taught us our first
lesson in DIY mastery: “righty tighty, lefty loosey.”
Father’s Day is when we honor our dads for always having
just the right tool to tighten our training wheels and for being right behind
us when those training wheels came off.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad. I miss you.
To the greatest dad the world has ever known...Happy Father's Day Dad! you are a wonderful example of a great man. I love you much and enjoy your well deserved nap! XO
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was always, "For God's sake, it's just a rake!"
