Friday was a repeat of Thursday, weather-wise.
Five o’clock took a long time coming, but it finally got there.
There was a stalled car on Plymouth Road so the trip home took about 15 minutes
longer.
I treated Caley, changed clothes and got to work. I had to
water all the container gardens again. I also watered the raised bed herb
gardens and the garden that goes from there across the back of the house to
Jake’s patio.
I stuck the hose into the reflecting pool and let it run for
about 30 minutes. This freshens the water, waters the Japanese maple and
(hopefully) discourages mosquitoes from laying eggs in there.
Speaking of watering, my neighbor was watering his front
lawn. My lawn needs it too, but they are predicting some rain overnight and on
Saturday. So, I thought I’d wait and see.
I took a few minutes to check out the saddle bag bracket. On
the face of it, I just don’t get it. But, I’ll try again and give it more time
tomorrow.
The Building 3 gang did their summer cookout today and had
lots of leftovers they begged people to take home. So, I had snagged a hot dog,
brat and a hamburger. I warmed all three up for my dinner.
I had enough dirty dishes to run the dishwasher, so I did.
I
couldn’t see anything interesting on TV, I still can’t get the DVD player to
work (I want to watch the Wire!) so I ended up watching a few taped shows and
then switched to reading until bedtime.
What's wrong with your DVD player?
