It was raining when I woke up Monday morning and rained off
and on until about 10:00 a.m. Then the
sun came out and it got super muggy.
The eye doctor’s office called and said my frames came in. I
told them I’d come in either Tuesday or Thursday (they are closed on Wednesday,
you see).
I went to Time Out for lunch and welcomed them all back from
their vacation.
The rain returned and it poured here for about 15 minutes
near 2:00 p.m. But then it stopped and the sun returned. Need I tell you how
muggy it was by then?
Once I was home, it was too uncomfortable to work in the
garage. But, I did manage to finish the wood burning.
I checked the rain gauge but I only got about 1/4-inch here.
Wes, the woodworker, called and said my dowel was done. I
told him I’d pick it up Tuesday after work. I asked what I owed him and he said
he’s worked about an hour on it, so maybe $20.00. I agreed at once (he saved my
butt) and he said that would work as it would get him a 30-pack of beer.
I hope he’s there this time. I’d like to meet him.
I ordered a face shield of sorts on Amazon.
I fixed a plate of kielbasa, sauerkraut and potatoes for
dinner. Then I watched the Smithsonian Channel until 10:30 p.m. and bedtime.
