It was 76 degrees F. when I woke up on Wednesday. But, the
temperature fell, all day long. A cold front had moved in, with a brisk
north-west wind, it was cloudy and it felt like fall again. This is a weird
summer!
I ate at Time Out for lunch and had a chicken salad pita
with soup instead of fries. It was something Bob called Swiss onion cheese. It
was basically French onion soup, but without the baked-on cheese topping. He incorporated
the cheese in thin slices (probably made with a potato peeler) into the soup.
It was weird, but good.
I walked outside again in the afternoon, but I hurried (it was
chilly).
When I got home after work, I was deeply disappointed not to
find my motorcycle saddle bags guards on the porch.
P*ssed off, I went and checked my email that said they would
be here. I felt stupid when I learned the email that said they would be here “tomorrow”
was posted at 12:01 a.m. I should have thought that one through…
I have some kind of crazy invasive weed growing in the south
side garage gardens. So, I got out the line trimmer, cut them all down and then
blew them off with the battery-powered blower.
Somebody used something to cut a trench all along the roadside of the vacant lot next to me. It's not really on my property per se, but it was on the part where I cut the grass, so it annoyed me. I threw the clumps of sod left over into the field. Perhaps they are going to start developing the property? I hope not...
Back inside, it was already after 8:00 p.m. so I made
another toasted tuna fish sandwich. I ate that with the last of my vegetable
soup (I have been snacking on that and the cucumber/radish salad).
I watched some TV but went to bed early.
