It was 41 degrees at 5:30 a.m. on Friday. That sounded bad
until I heard it was 31 degrees in Lapeer!
My friend Michelle from Facilities stopped by with some of
my empty containers and a container of chicken Marsala and orzo. So, dinner
tonight has been decided!
I went to a farewell lunch for one of our techs. Now, you
know I always bitch about these affairs being held at Buddy’s. Well, finally,
this one was held at the Boneyard III. It’s a barbeque place on Plymouth Road.
There were a lot less people there, so service was much
better. But, the barbeque was uninspiring. Now, I could get all high-brow
foodie and say something like, “After you’ve had Carolina barbeque, this was a
poor imitation!” And, it was. But, seriously, Time Out makes a far better
pulled pork sandwich! And, they are a bar and grill!
The onion rings were good, but were obviously frozen. Sigh…
Full, but far from satisfied, I burped my way through the
rest of the afternoon.
Once home, I changed clothes and took care of the normal
Friday night chores: ToDo list, grocery list, etc., while listening to the
evening news.
I ate my dinner and it was excellent!
I taped the Roosevelt’s tonight. I felt like reading
instead. So, I sat in the living room with the fireplace on until almost 11:30
p.m. and then went to bed.
