It was cold and damp when I woke up Monday morning, and didn’t
improve much all damn day. Both my knees and the backs of my thighs were
aching, but I think it was more from the fertilizer application rather than the
weather.
I did walk outside at 10:00 a.m., but had to wear a jacket.
I went to GFS at lunch to check on something (easy to do now
that the expressway’s finished), so I stopped on the way back at Westborn and
got a container of their chicken noodle soup. Their Italian wedding soup and
the bean with ham sounded good, too. But the weather said, “Chicken Noodle!” I
ate it at work, reading a book.
It was raining again by 2:00 p.m., so the afternoon walk was
inside.
When I got home, I treated Caley and changed clothes. I walked out back to retrieve the SIM card from the game trail camera. I
decided to take the night off and, other than getting the trash together, that’s
what I did.
I checked out the 220 short videos from the camera. Then I watched the rest of the news until I got hungry. I warmed up
another stuffed pepper and the remaining half of acorn squash.
I spent some time in the living room, with a book, the
fireplace and the recliner. I watched a couple taped shows and went to bed at
10:30 p.m.
I'm glad you took the night off. You deserve it.
