Monday Moanin’

I took the rest of the cooked rutabagas in to Courtney on Monday morning. She’s going to make it into baby food for Aiden. I don't think a baby would like the slightly bitter taste of rutabagas, but we'll see.

Speaking of Courtney, she did come in for half a day. She was in a lot of pain, though. I felt sorry for the kid.

I left at 10:30 a.m. to go the Secretary of State office to try and get this title error on the Big Thumper resolved. I had all my documentation, plus photographs. They were on number 37 when I pulled my number 75 out of the ticket machine. So, I waited just over an hour. The lady took all my stuff and went to discuss it with her manager. She came back with a green piece of paper and a little yellow square. She said I have to take the bike to the police station and have them sign off on the green paper that the VIN/Date plate is correct!!! But (according to her), the good thing is that the yellow square means I don’t have to wait my turn when I bring it back…

I was so pissed!!! Why didn’t anybody tell me that when I called? Why make me wait for an hour to let me know? Well, with the weather being like it is, I don’t foresee doing this any time soon.

Since I was that far down Wayne Road, I crossed over Ford Road to Gabriel's Cheesesteak Hoagies. This was my first time there, but Jake had recommended it a while back. I got the cheesesteak hoagie with mushrooms. Just the smell in my truck was delicious! I went back to work and ate it and it was fantastic. It almost (almost) made up for the stupid trip to the Secretary of State office.

Before I left for home, I bought a small bag of Better Made BBQ chips from the machine at work.

Back at the ranch, I got all my garbage rounded up. Then I took the trashcan out to the road.

Sidebar: Yes, I know I usually do this on Tuesday morning, but tomorrow I have to go and vote before going into work.

Inside for the night, I watched the news. Then I warmed up the sloppy joe mixture, toasted two slices of bread and made another thick sandwich. I ate that with a pickle and my BBQ chips.

I watched a little taped TV, but went to bed early.

  1. This is just too easy. Call the police and report your hammock missing. When they send the CSI team out to investigate, have them sign off on the bike. Bingo bango!
