Stale Potato Chips

Speaking of stale potato chips triggered a memory. When I was very young, we would occasionally make the long drive to my Grandmother's house in Detroit. For some reason, her kitchen always smelled like stale potato chips!

Maybe its because she always had a can of New Era potato chips for us to snack on.

Please note: These were "scientifically processed" and a "healthy food on the alkaline side!"

Sidebar: I don't remember potato chips coming in bags back then.

Anyway, since there was only my Grandmother and step-Grandfather living in the house, and the cans were big, the chips were always stale.

But since we rarely had them back on the farm, I thought they were delicious!

These days, not so much...
