I got up a little earlier than normal on Tuesday. I raced
through the morning rituals and then headed out to my polling station. I got
there about 7:05 a.m. and there were only 12 people in front of me. I was out
by 7:20 and headed for work.
When I got there, I found that Courtney (back in again for
the morning, at least) had brought in a bag filled with small, candy
machine-sized bags of Lay’s potato chips. She had read in my Blog I don’t buy
big bags (because they go stale) and said she and Mike had these left over.
Thanks!!!
Michelle, my ex-cubical buddy, had organized another lunch
get-together. This time I went. I drove Vicky and, all together, there were
eight of us (including Michelle). It was back at Bahama Breeze, again. This
time I was not fooled by the so-called Cuban sandwich. I ordered one of their
lunch combos. This one was three small Pork Carnitas Street Tacos (Slow cooked
pork, cilantro-crema, black bean-corn salsa), served on flour tortillas. They
were pretty good! I chose a Caesar salad as my combo (their three soups didn’t
sound that interesting) that was excellent.
We drove back in a light rain that continued all afternoon.
Needless to say, both the morning and afternoon walks were inside.
I took a moment at work to reactivate my new Bank of America
credit card. This is the second credit card (the other was my old Capital One
card) that, without me asking, has been replaced. Both of the letters with the
new cards mentioned the Home Depot security breach. Either that was more
serious than any of the other hacks recently, or the credit card companies are
no longer taking any chances of getting stuck with huge bills. Both of them
have got it down pat, though. You activate the card they send and bingo! Your
old card is no longer visible and your balance (if any) is automatically transferred
to the new card. Take that, Russian hacker geeks!!!
I drove home in the same light rain. I got the trash can
inside and shut the garage door. I had some woodworking to do, but decided
against it tonight. I don’t want the truck outside in the rain and it was
already dripping wet. So any sawdust I might make would stick to it! Not an
attractive look!
I went out back and checked the rain gauge. There was less
than 1/4 inch of rain in it. Then I walked over and got the SIMs card from the
Game Trail Camera.
I took it inside and tried to wipe wet leaves off the bottom
of my shoes. I ended up giving up and carrying them into the bedroom and onto
the shoe rack.
Then I checked the SIM card. Not good! 281 videos mostly of
falling leaves, rain and stupid squirrels. It even picked up large trucks
moving in the Coney Island parking lot!
I watched some taped DIY TV shows and then switched to the
Red Wings Game. When I was hungry, I warmed up more of the kielbasa and
sauerkraut. I realized I hadn’t posted a photo when I made it, so I took one
before I ate.
When the hockey game ended (we lost, 3-1 to the Senators...
THE SENATORS???) I was disgusted and went to bed angry.

Re: Hockey Game - Well, it was voting day.
