It was cold with a sharp north wind on Wednesday. It even
felt cold inside at work (and I’m usually too warm). Before I left, I took out
the last container of my meat pasta sauce I made last September to thaw.
I took in my blank Christmas cards, stamps, address labels
and return labels. I can’t seem to find the time to do them at home. So, I
grabbed a quick cheeseburger and a bowl of soup for lunch and then came back
and started filling them out. I got about half done before I stopped and went
back to work.
I left the truck outside in the cold when I got home. I
changed clothes and started the Wednesday night wash.
Then I carried the computer table out into the garage. I got
out the palm sander and sandpaper and proceed to sand it three times, using
first 60 grit, then 150 grit and finally 220 grit paper.
I measured a 45 degree angle on each corner (three inches
in) and a 1/8-inch mark down at the corner. Then I sanded the corners on an angle down to
that mark. Again, I wanted to make it look more like furniture and give it some
character.
I finished up, opened the garage door and blew the table
(and myself) off with the air compressor. I carried the table back inside,
pulled the truck back in and buttoned everything back up for the night.
It was after 8:00 p.m. by then, so I cooked a box of
spaghetti while I warmed up the pasta sauce. I put the two together and had a
nice homemade meal for a change!
I joined the Red Wings/Maple Leaf game in progress. Good
game, but we lost 2-1 in overtime.
I shut off the TV and went to bed.
