I had set the alarm for 4:30 a.m. and woke up when it went
off. If you remember, Michelle’s supposed to come over tonight to pick up my
Tupperware Toys for Tots donation and the house (of course) was a wreck.
So, I vacuumed the living room carpet, cleaned cat hair off
the furniture and swept the main bathroom, kitchen and downstairs. Then I got
ready for work.
But before I left, I worked backwards and used the Wet-Jet
to wash the main bathroom and kitchen floors.
I went to the Newburgh Grille for lunch and got the #8
Special: Grilled ham and cheese sandwich and a cup of beef vegetable soup. Yum!
In the afternoon at work, I realized just how sore and tired I was.
I raced home after work. I swept the rest of the wood floors
and washed the glass tops in the living room.
Then I waited. I sorted through this past week’s videos from
the Game Trail Camera. There were only about 10 out of the 121 videos that
involved night visitors and they were only the possum and the rabbit and not all
that interesting.
I made a cup of coffee and sat in the living room, reading
and waiting for Michelle. When she hadn’t arrived by 7:15 p.m., I sent her a
text, asking if she was still coming for my donation. She replied, “No, next
Monday.”
Okay, so I admit I was a little p*ssed. I lost three hours
when I could have been working on the table!
But, I didn’t know who to be p*ssed at! Was it Michelle, who’s schedule
changed but she didn’t let me know? Or was it Courtney, who originally had been
talking to Michelle and told me the wrong day?
Then I thought about it realistically. My house was clean
(for a change) which wouldn’t have happened. And, I really was sore and tired.
So, taking one night off wasn’t the end of the world.
So, I changed out of my work clothes. I ignored the computer
table completely and made Jake’s chili mac and cheese and ate too much of it for
a late dinner.
I ignored the TV as well, and read my book in bed until just
after 9:00 p.m. Then I went to bed.
