The high here in Redford on Wednesday was 10 degrees F. I
went to Time Out for lunch and got a bean and cheese burrito. It was huge and I
could only eat about half of it. On the plus side, that kept my dietary distress
to a minimum in the afternoon.
I went to the Sunoco gas station across the street (when it’s
this cold, I don’t like the truck’s gas tank to get really low). But, when I
went in to prepay, the guy said none of his pumps were working. They had all frozen
up!
I went elsewhere and got my gas for $1.83 a gallon.
I ordered my electric branding iron along with the optional
date stamp.
Back at home, I started the Wednesday wash. For dinner, I
warmed up another stuffed chicken breast and steamed some frozen sweet corn.
I watched a couple of taped TV shows, but then switched to
reading until bedtime, huddled under the covers to keep warm.
Dad, you sent your cold weather here. It is 14 degrees this morning. Not cool...or is it? Ha!
