Tuesday’s Tale

I didn’t wear a coat to work. I knew it would be colder but, after 80 degrees yesterday, I figured I wouldn’t notice it.

When I took the trashcan out to the road, I noticed it.

Sidebar: You may wonder why I didn’t just go inside and get one before I left (I know I later did). Because, I figured it was still early and it would warm up later.

It didn’t!

I tried to walk outside at 10:00 a.m., but gave it up after the first pass and walked inside the shop. It was not only chilly, but the wind had picked up

I went to Newburgh Grill. It’s Tuesday and that means ham and bean soup (usually). I skipped the specials and just got a big bowl of soup. It was sprinkling on the way back to work.

I walked inside again in the afternoon.

I was going to cut the grass and work in the garage after work, but I did neither. The grass never dried out and the garage was too damn cold (It was 53 degrees at 5:00 p.m.). Instead, I went inside, turned the furnace back on (the cold spell is supposed to last all week). I drank a cup of house while the house warmed up.

Sidebar: The winds were blowing like crazy at times!

I watched the news until 7:00 p.m. and then made dinner. I ate two cobs of sweet corn and two brats with hot mustard.

I watched my NCIS shows and went to bed at 10:00 p.m.
