I wore my jacket on Wednesday. I took my tablet into work to try and set it up (and because I would have help if I ran into problems, LOL). It had been laying on the dresser ever since I bought it.
So, the first thing I did was to charge it (it was at 0%). Did I mention It's had been laying there over two months?
I walked outside in the morning, but the wind had picked up,
it was still cold (even with a jacket) and I didn’t like it.
I went to Ten Yen for lunch. Then I went to Best Buy and
bought a universal cover for the tablet. They carry specific ones for Apple and
Samsung, but not for Lenovo. On the bright side, it only cost me $12.00.
It was fully charged by 2:00 p.m. I took a break and started
to set it up. I was doing fine until I tried to download Office 365. I sent
Vicky enough text messages with questions she finally told me to just bring it
back. So, I did and then I went back to work.
She worked on it between calls and she finally got it to
load. She was still downloading updates by 5:00 p.m. I asked her how it was
coming and she said there was a problem with Word and my operating system. So,
she offered to take it home. I agreed, but felt guilty. She has enough to do at
night without helping me. But, I was in way over my head…
I went home on Plymouth Road so I could stop at Larry’s
Foodland and pick up some banana pepper rings.
It was a whopping 54 degrees when I got home. But, the wind
had died down some. So, after treating the cat (why I don’t know as she threw up
on the bedspread again) I changed clothes, put the bedspread in the washer and
went out in the garage. I got the last three butterfly hinges off. Praise the Lord!
Back inside, I made some dinner. I had bought a frozen pizza
last weekend (one of the new Digiorno pizzeria square thin crust ones – I thought
I’d try it). It was their supreme special pizza, with Italian sausage,
pepperoni, red and green pepper strips and caramelized onions.
I added some banana peppers and sliced black olives, more
mozzarella and topped that with grated Parmesan cheese. Then I stuck it in the preheated
oven.
I watched the last 15 minutes of the Nightly News and put
the bedspread in the dryer.
When the pizza was done, I cut it into four squares. I ate
one. It was really good for store-bought! I decided I was still hungry, so I
ate another one. I let the other two cool down while I watched some TV. I
finally put the rest of the pizza in the fridge.
I set the drier up again and ran the bedspread through another
cycle. It’s so big and heavy that one regular cycle does not fully dry it.
It was 10:30 by the time I made the bed up, so I just
climbed in it and went to sleep.
Thank God you have Vicky.....It's a job to keep you in order, you old rich man.
