Tuesday morning, the sun dawned! It was warm, but not humid
outside.
I drove to work with the window down, for a change. I loved it!!!
I ate a cup of bean and ham soup and a patty melt at the
Newburgh Grill for lunch. I was disappointed, but not surprised, to find Hines
Drive closed. So, I skipped that drive and went to an auto parts store instead.
I bought new wipers for the IT van.
When I got back to work, I went to install them. One of the
mechanics in the shop told me I might need a small screwdriver, so I went in
the IT tech room to get one. I was rummaging around in the tool box when Vicky
asked me what I was doing. I explained and she said, “You don’t need a screwdriver!
I just replaced the ones on my car. Give them here, I’ll do it!”

We went out to the back lot. But, she was too short to reach
them, LOL! Forget the screwdriver, she needed a step ladder or a box. So, I put
them on, following her instructions.
Sidebar: When I bought replacement wipers for the Volvo, the
folks at O’Rielly’s would always ask if I wanted them installed and I said, “Sure!”
So, they put them on for me, no charge.
It was 81 degrees when I got home. I retrieved the trash
can, treated the cat and changed into my shorts and tee.
I have about a million things to do outside and in. The
maple seeds have sprouted in my gutters, for example, and it looks like a bonsai
forest up there.
But they had cut the grass today, it was lovely outside, so
I took the night off. I figured I'd nailed it! I sat on the porch in the rocker and watched the kids
play across the street.
The hard rain had broken down some of the branches with
flowers on my newly planted rose bushes (damn). So, I cut them off. I took the
best one inside and stuck it in a vase for my bedroom.
I moved to the back patio to watch the sunset, then went
inside.
I warmed up the leftover chicken Parmesan plate and ate that
for dinner. I watched a little taped TV and then went to bed at 9:30 p.m.
