Sunday was warm again. I was supposed to go over to Vicky’s
place and trim some bushes. Sadly, she sent me a text that her grandmother died
during the night (she was in hospice). This would be her father’s mother.
So, I started moving stuff in the garage, but I think it’s
going to be more difficult than I had planned.
I took a nap in the hotter afternoon.
I ate some leftovers for dinner, then watched DIY shows
until bedtime. Unfortunately, I slept less than an hour. I tried to fall back asleep
from midnight on. I finally did around 5:00 a.m. Monday morning. But then I
overslept! I woke up around 10:30 a.m.
I contacted my boss and told her I had to shave, shower and
get dressed and would be in in about an hour if she needed me today. She said
things were pretty quiet so, I could just stay home and take it as a vacation
day. So, I did.
They came and cut the lawn about 2:00 p.m. so after they
left, I started watering. I hooked up the oscillating sprinkler to water the
English garden and the front grass for an hour. I was watering the container
gardens by hand. Then I moved the hose and sprinkler to the rear. I watered the
herb gardens and the lawn around the patio for another hour.
Finally I put on the square head sprinkler and watered the vegetable
garden. I got two tomatoes and a nice sized cucumber.
I turned it into a cucumber
sandwich. Once everything was put away and locked up, and went to watch the
news.

The vegetables are growing great this year it seems. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteYes, they seem to be... At least the skunk isn't eating my ripening tomatoes!!!
