@ Jyl: After having less than spectacular result from "Roundup" I went with my contractor neighbor's recommendations: Ground Clear. Its some nasty shit in it (probably nuclear) and he warned me not to spray it near mature trees or bushes as they would die..But, it fncking works! @ Carla: Thanks!!
@ Jyl: You can use a sprinkler can if you don't have a sprayer. Just be sure to wash off your shoes before walking on the lawn (I've made that mistake.)
Thank you, again. I’m not worried about offing more than intended grass areas, but you do have me concerned that this mix will contribute to squirrelicide (I’m not okay with that). In the past, I’ve covered the weeds with a plastic tarp, waited for them to die, and just pulled them out by the roots. That takes a couple of weeks, though, so I’ll just see if I can get some help doing it some other way.
What spray did you use?
