(Okay, there was no park involved, but I always like that
song…)
Anyway, Saturday was all about errands. I finally got my massage (she said I was a
wreck and worked an extra half hour to put me right). I just barely made it to
my haircut appointment. She said I was a wreck, too! It’s been three weeks and
I did look like hell.
Sidebar: I guess I’m a wreck…
Then I went to Kroger’s to resupply the hacienda. Next I
went to Gordon Food Supply to replace a saucepan I’d burned up.
I stopped at Westborn for some veggies and then went to Home
Depot for some electrical boxes, wire, switches and plugs. I got home about
1:30 p.m.
It was already 90 degrees. So, I decided not to grill today
and I took a nap.
When I woke back up, I made myself a fajita. I’d seen
something on one of the cooking shows Carla and I watched about making them
with portabella mushrooms instead of steak. They said the “meaty” flavor of the
mushrooms were a good replacement for the meat.
So, I sauteed a red pepper, a yellow pepper, two cubanella peppers and an onion. Then I did the sliced portabella mushrooms
It wasn’t. It tasted like a mushroom fajita. Sigh…
I watered the container gardens up front and then worked
inside (in the air conditioning) to clean up the house.

They look great. I'm sorry they disappointed in flavor.
ReplyDeleteThey really did and I was bummed. But I'm gonna grill my steak tonight and eat about half. The rest can be steak fajitas...
