It was cold when I left for work on Monday (48 degrees) I
was going to wear a jacket, but it was supposed to get up to 77 in the
afternoon, so I just wore a long sleeve shirt.
I took in one of Michelle’s food containers filled with bean
soup for her and two quarts of soup for Vicky’s family. When I walked over to
Michelle’s building, I found she had made soup over the weekend as well! It was
that kind of weather.
I went to Max and Erma’s for lunch and got a salad. Then I
went to Lowe’s and got a bag of crocus bulbs and a bag of mulch. The mulch is
for some of my transplants. Finally, I got the truck washed, as it’s not
supposed to rain again until Friday.
I gave Vicky her soup just before I left for home.

It was funny. When I pulled in the driveway, I immediately noticed how wilted my hanging plants were. Oh, crap! Did I miss watering them or did
the cold get them?
So, I treated the cat, changed clothes and got the watering
can. It wasn’t until I was watering the second one that I happened to look down
and saw my flagstone had been installed!!!
After over a month of waiting and several missed dates,
Jon-Boy Landscaping came through. And, in spite of my fears (or rather Margaret’s
theory), they did it right! They dug out the sod, laid down sand and then put in
the stones.
I’ll have to fill in some dirt and add mulch, but it looks
better than I’d pictured it.
I did add some mulch in places where the dirt was exposed
around the transplants. Then I went inside. I cleaned out the fridge and got the trash ready for Tuesday's pick up.
I warmed up some soup for dinner. I
watched the movie, “Tombstone” and then went to bed at 11:00 p.m.

Looks great!
