It got up to a humid 91 degrees on Wednesday. I still walked
outside both times, but I had my PR shirt on so it wasn’t as sweaty as Tuesday.
I went to Time Out for lunch. I had the quarter-pound
cheeseburger but substituted the fries with a bowl of excellent chicken noodle
soup (he used Kluski noodles, for a change). Then I went to the Ace hardware
store and bought some acetone (to remove the excess foam from the new window)
and a sledge hammer.
After work, I changed clothes and started the Wednesday
Night Wash. I watched the news until 6:00 p.m. and then went to work.
I have some plants growing out in the back I thought were
neat ground cover. But they have slowly moved up front, where I don’t want
them. This spring I pulled them from the reflecting pool garden but now they have
totally taken over the gardens on the south side of the garage.
So, I got out my little rolling garden stool and got to
work.
I pulled out every one I could find. While I was at it, I
trimmed the little iris. All the debris went on the wood pile. I blew off the
sidewalk and then watered the hell out of the garden. It looked a lot better!
Back inside, it was after 8:00 p.m. I heated up two pieces of
pizza, but I’m down to the cheese only slices. They do fill you up, but are not
that satisfying.
I watched a taped show and then went to bed about 9:30 p.m.

South side garden looks much, much better.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was a bitch, but I was pleased.
