It was warm again on Wednesday morning, but sprinkling when
I went into work.
Sidebar: This is supposed to be the last day with highs in
the 70’s until next spring. Sigh…
I went outside for my morning walk, but it started raining
before I was half-way through. So, I finished it in the shop.
I went to Ten Yen for lunch and got my favorite. Then I went
to Lowe’s and checked out the rolls of 3-inch insulation to see how long they
were (32 feet) to figure out how much I need for the new garage wall.
Back home after work, I treated the cat and changed clothes.
I started the Wednesday night wash then went out back to work on the rest of
the fall cleanup.
I drained the reflecting pool with a bucket as best I could.
Then I threw in a 2x4 to let the ice crunch instead of the washtub. I replaced the garbage bag on the
3/4 inch sheet of plywood (the old one was in tatters) and covered it up. I put
a rag on it and topped it with a paver block.
Next, I covered the west-side vent to the crawl space with
another sheet of plywood and secured that with another chunk of concrete.
Note: There is a north side vent as well that I don't block off (to prevent mold in the crawl space) but this seems to keep the floors warmer in the winter.
Then I went out front with the wheelbarrow and cut down all
the rest of the plants. I finished up in the dark.
I was gonna make Jake’s chili mac & cheese, but found I
had no chili!
Sidebar: This is what happens when you decide you don’t need
an extensive pantry!!!
So, I just made a box of mac & cheese for dinner.
I watched the taped NCIS New Orleans and then went to bed
before 9:00 p.m.

ReplyDeleteDad, when you say these things you are letting Jake believe that it's yummy...I love him but that is not delicious.
Hmmm... Maybe its a German thing, because I really like it!
ReplyDeleteYas! It's delicious. Shame on your pantry.
ReplyDeleteWell, in my pantry's defense, I can't get Hormel HOT chili around here. I have to go to the Kroger's on Ford Road...
