Tuesday had still above average temperatures, but it was mostly overcast and windy, so it wasn’t all that pleasant. I took the trash out to the road before leaving for work.
I went to lunch at the Newburgh Grill. On the way there, I
passed what I thought was one of those little electric snow blowers, sitting
out to the road.
I went wild when ordering lunch. I had a cup of the bean with ham
soup (of course), a coney dog and onions rings! All were delicious!
On the way back, I spotted that snow blower again. On
impulse, I swung in to look at it. It was small, but it was a gas-powered Toro
Powerlite CCR-E. So, I put it in the truck.
I figured I’d drop it off Saturday at George’s Lawnmower Service just
down the road from me on Plymouth. They are an old family business and I’ve had
work done there before. I figured I’d get an estimate on getting it fixed and,
depending on the cost, either get it done or put it out to the road on the next
garbage day.
Sidebar: I survived the worst winter’s snow ever the first
year I got the truck, just by using the four-wheel drive, so I'm not worried about me. But, now that I have
folks coming over in cars, I guess I have to plan for that.
Back home, I unloaded the snow blower and then fetched the
trash can and mail.
Inside, I treated the cat and changed clothes. I watched the
news until the weather was over and then got to work. I gave all the cabinet
doors I had painted the second coat of paint on their backs. Once again, I had
drying doors everywhere!
I warmed up some pot roast, potatoes, onions and carrots for
dinner. I topped them with the au jus and ate an excellent meal.
I watched NCIS and then started watching NCIS New Orleans.
But, I fell asleep around 9:30 p.m. I woke up at midnight, went to the bathroom
and turned everything off. Then I went to bed for real.

Good luck with the snow blower find!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was just a whim, but it might pay off. We'll see...
