It was 13 degrees when I woke up in Redford. If I thought yesterday was brutal, I was wrong!
So, I dragged the trash can out to the road in my heavy winter
coat, gloves and, yes, my knit watch cap.
By lunch time it was sunny, though, so that was nice.
I went to the Newburgh Grille for lunch and got a
shock! They replace my favorite “only on
Tuesday” soup (bean and ham) with split pea and ham. WTF? I was gonna get just a
bowl to warm up, but was leery. So, I got the cup of split pea and a patty melt.
The split pea soup was pretty good, BTW.
From there, I went to Sam’s Club and bought two boxes of my
favorite coffee. They changed the packaging, so I was confused. But, I figured it out and got back to work on
time.
The afternoon went by slowly. The admin at the front desk
took down the office Christmas decorations and I invited her to my house.
Sidebar: I put them up before I left and have been enjoying
them since my return.
But, she declined…
Back home after work, I retrieved the trash can and the mail.
Then I went inside for the night
I watched the news until it ended. Then I warmed up some
chicken fried rice for dinner.
I watched both NCIS shows and went to bed at 10:00 p.m.
