I didn't set the alarm on Friday night as I "knew" I would wake up around 5:30 a.m. And, I did! I took a piss and then laid back down. That was a mistake!!!
I woke back up at 8:00 a.m. and had to hustle to make my 9:00 a.m dental check up.
Not sure I mentioned this, but my low fuel light came on Friday night on the way home. But, I ignored it.
I had to ignore it on the way to the dentist as well.
But I made it and my checkup went well. Right down the street from the dentist is a Kroger's and, even better, a Kroger's gas station! I finally got to use some of those fuel points I build up.
I got $0.20 off per gallon!
Then I went grocery shopping. I made two impulse buys: some beautiful yellow crookneck squash and a head of cauliflower.
I drove to Merriman, stopping at a car wash to get the salt off the truck. Then I drove from Ford Road to Five Mile and my haircut.
I left the truck outside so I could unload it. Then I went out back to refill the feeders (I found I was out of suet). I came back inside to finally fill out the blog post,
I mostly did small household chores, then I took a nap.
When I woke up it was after 5:00 p.m. and I was hungry. So. I sliced up the squash and fried it in butter. It was delicious and reminded me of summertime.
I watched the news, then a taped show and finally the Red Wings play outdoors in Colorado. We won and I went to bed.
That's a pretty cool (ha) idea to use Coors Field for hockey in the winter.
ReplyDeletere: "I made two impulse buys: some beautiful yellow crookneck squash and a head of cauliflower." that was a good, healthy impluse buy. I love both
ReplyDelete@ Jake: it was. It was like watching hockey as it was supposed to be played.
ReplyDelete@ GPF: I wasn't really thinking "healthy." I just love them too.
