Well, the temperaure went back to normal on Sunday. It was cold when I woke up. I liked Saturday better, myself.
I did the usual Sunday morning chores and ate some toast for breakfast while watching the news.
I finallay got cleaned up and dressed. Then I went to Home Depot. I spent about an hour there, checking things out.
Once home, I washed the bedding and did the last load of weekend wash. I swept and then washed both the bedroom and office wood floors.
I had abandoned grilling outside, but still had all the fixin's. So, I closed the bedroom and office doors, opened the kitchen window a crack, turned on the vent fan and fried the steak in the cast iron pan. I put the asparagus (for another week night meal) and trimmed scallions on a half sheet tray. I tossed them with olive oil and seasoned then with kosher salt. Then I stuck them under the broiler.
I buttered the three little ears of sweet corn, wrapped them in aluminum foil and stuck them in the oven as well.
When the steak was done, I let it rest while I fried the brats.
I ate half the steak, one ear of corn and all of the scallions for my Sunday supper. Everything was delicious! The sweet corn surprised me as it did have a lot more flavor than I expected.
I made the bed and later folded the other load of laundry.
I started watching the Red Wings game and then went to bed.
