It was still raining when I left for work on Monday. But it wasn't that cold. So, I wore my thin raincoat.
Except, when I left for work, the wind had picked up and I was freezing! I went to the Newburgh Grill and got a cup of beef vegetable soup and a patty melt. I guess I just wasn't that hungry, since I couldn't finish the patty melt. I was embarrassed...
Sidebar: They always think the food didn't taste good. But I just can't eat that much anymore...
From there, I went to the Credit Union to get some cash. With cash in hand, I went and filled up the truck tank. It had stopped raining but I swear it either got a lot colder or the winds picked up. I was still back at work 20 minutes early, so I read a book until 1:00 p.m.
When I got home after work, I started a last load of weekend laundry.
I decided to forego the potatoes au gratin and the soup, but I did need to cook the asparagus. So, I lined a sheet tray with aluminum foil. I cut the ends off the asparagus and tossed them in olive oil. I sprinkled on salt, pepper and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Then I tossed them some more.
They went into a 400 degree oven (along with a foil packet of some ham) for about 10 minutes. I plated everything and had an excellent meal.
I watched the rest of the news and then the Red Wings game. Finally, I went to bed.

The asparagus sound and look great!
