Sidebar: Sorry this is late. I woke up without any internet connection and didn't have time to dick around with resetting the router.
It was cold Monday morning. I mean "get out the winter coat" cold! So, I did.
But, it warmed up quickly and turned into a nice day, during working hours. I was pumped, think about all the things I could do outside, once I got home from work (the weekend was a bust).
Courtney brought back my electric hedge trimmer, the lopping shears and a new 100-foot extension cord (she cut the one I lent her with the hedge trimmer, LOL).
Vicky and I went to lunch at Panera Bread. I wore my coat during the ride over, but took it off and left it in the truck when we got there. It was too hot!
I got a cup of chicken noodle soup (not bad, but not great) and a ham and turkey sandwich. Vicky got the broccoli and cheese soup in a bread bowl.
The afternoon was busy enough it didn't drag all that much.
It was warmer still, but now cloudy. Wouldn't you know it, it started to rain as I pulled in the driveway! Sigh...
So, I putzed around inside, getting the garbage ready for Tuesday's pick up, playing around on the computer, etc.
I warmed up the last of the taco meat and made my final taco salad. It still tasted good! I am going to remember that for quick, easy weeknight meals.
I watched some TV but went to bed before 10:00 p.m.
Taco salad is a good one. I suspect it is because the majority of the ingredients are fresh, so it doesn't taste as bland or "old" as a cooked meal that one keeps reheating.
ReplyDeleteYes, not like leftovers. That's why I liked it!
