Without the alarm, I woke up late on Sunday. I decided to make a big breakfast. So, I used aluminum foil to make two sections on a half sheet tray. I put three strips of thick cut bacon on one side and some tater tots on the other. I popped that into the oven. While that baked, I made two over-easy eggs. I put everything together and chowed down!
My friend B___ called and we caught each other up (not too much on my side, but they have been busting their butts on the boat).
I baked two more broccoli and cheddar quiches (one for Vicky's family and the other for quick dinners for me this week).
I took a nice nap in the afternoon. Then I started some charcoal up for my Sunday supper.
When the coals were ready, I grilled six ears of sweet corn. Next I grilled two bunches of green onions that I oiled and salted. Finally, I grilled the rib eye steak. I ate about half of the steak, most of the green onions (they were fantastic) and two ears of corn. It was a delicious dinner!
I watched some TV, but went to bed by 10:00 p.m.
Never heard of grilling green onions....what are they, the poor mans asparagas?
ReplyDeleteLOL! No, they are better than that! Think of topping a steak with caramelized onions.
ReplyDeleteNever thought about tots for breakfast. Sounds good, as does the steak!
ReplyDeleteWe,, not much difference between a tater tot and, say, a McDonald's hash brown, right?
