I went to Sam's Place for lunch. I'd never been there before, but heard good things about it. It's on the southeast corner of Farmington and Five Mile. It's sort of a Coney Island with Polish specialty dishes.
I went there because it's near Livonia Lock and Key. So, after I paid the bill, I went there and got the backup shed key made.
Back home after work, I changed clothes and got out the trimmer (the battery was finally charged). As I said, the tall grass next to my fence has been bothering me. So, I trimmed about two feet of my neighbor's vacant lot.

I checked the front porch rail planter and it needed water. So, I watered it.
I checked out back and the window planter was fine. But the raised bed herb garden and the vegetable garden also seemed dry. So, I watered the herb garden with the wand. Then I took the hose and the square head sprinkler out to the vegetable garden. I let that run for a half hour.
Sidebare: I need to get the soaker hose set up in the vegetable garden! It's a much more effective use of the expensive water.
Back inside, I warmed up the quiche and ate a piece for my dinner.
I did the Wednesday wash and watched one of my all-time favorite movies, Jeremiah Johnson. Then I went to bed.

I do like that fence. What did you have for lunch?
ReplyDeleteI was going to go with pierogies, but that seemed too heavy. I went with a chili dog and onion rings (so I could compare them with the Newburgh Grill). The chili dog was better, the onion rings comparable.
