It was cold AF Friday morning (14 degrees here in Redford) so I reluctantly decided to ditch the leather jacket in favor of my heavy pea coat, scarf and gloves.
Sidebar: I should have worn my knit cap as well, but it messes up what's left of my hair.
I went to Time Out for lunch and got my usual Friday meal, fish and chips (with the malt vinegar I shamed the owner, Dan, into stocking.)
Sidebar: As an ex-Catholic, I still cling to the idea of eating fish on Friday.
My favorite waitress, Amanda, waited on me. She said she was upset that she didn't get a chance to hug me the last time I was there (she was busy, so I just put the money on the table and left.)
Sidebar: This is not the first time a waitress there insisted on hugging me. Kirsten was the first.
So, I stood up and let her hug me.
Then, I ate an excellent lunch and got another hug on the way out.
I went to Lowe's and bought another bird feeder. This one has a locking lid, so maybe the plastic won't get chewed.
We had two retirement luncheons this week at the Museum (B12): Don Mandeville on Wednesday - I met him when I was in Facilities and remodeled the front office of B01, Nice guy! And Martin Snuverink on Friday (don't remember where I first met him, but also a nice guy.) Our receptionist, Nichole, helped set up both parties. So, she brought back cupcakes. But on Friday, she also brought back leftover mostaccioli. She had two take-out boxes of it and said it was way too much for her to eat. So, I took home one box.
I went out and installed the bird feeder when I got home.
I ate half of the mostaccioli for my Friday night dinner. It was very good!
I watched some TV before going to bed.
Good luck with the new bird feeder!
