It was raining (again) on the way into work on Friday...

Sidebar: If April showers bring May flowers, what does May showers bring (other than lush lawns and a lot of weeds?)

I went to Big Boy's at lunch and got a Slim Jim, but with onion rings instead of fries. The onion rings were good, but not up to the standards of the Newburgh Grill.

My boss had already left for a weekend up north, so when my old boss came back from a meeting at 3:30 p.m., she told me to shut it down and go home, so I did.

When  I got home, I walked around the yard, making lists of the flowers, vegetable plants and hanging baskets I need.

I watched the last of the news and then made some of the fresh mushroom ravioli (I forget the fancy name and I don't care). I dumped Alfredo sauce on it and called it good (well, I did top with with grated Parmesan cheese).

A friend of mine called me later that evening. We text, but don't call, so it was a surprise. We talked for a long, long time (my daughter, Melissa, long). When we finally hung up, I went to bed.
