I woke up at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. I ate some toast with honey for breakfast before taking my pills.
I spent some time on the computer before shaving, showering and getting dressed. Then I started cleaning the house.
I had a salad for lunch, and then went back to the computer.
Now, the project for today was both more computer work and fixing the front porch rocker.
Sidebar: That rocker is at least twenty years old and was cheap when I bought it back in St. Clair. I have repaired and repainted it several times.
Anyway, time got away from me and the next thing I knew it was after 3:00 p.m. I went out to get the mail and it was hotter then hell and hard to breathe.
On the way back in, I checked the container gardens and they were dry. This heat is sucking the moisture out of them!
Sidebar: What's throwing me off on the watering is that, every day on the morning news, they predict rain, but then it doesn't. WTF?
So, the rocker repair went on hold.
I hand-watered all the container gardens. Then I watered the raised bed herb garden with the rain wand. Finally, I dragged the hose out to the vegetable garden and hooked up the sprinkler.
Sidebar: I have friends on Facebook who are posting harvests of double handfuls of green beans. I finally got three beans and two peas, LOL. I ate them onsite.
I went back inside, set the timer for an hour and laid on the bed, enjoying the A/C.
When the timer went off, I went back outside, shut off the water, wound up the hose and went back inside.
I warmed up the first burger for dinner and ate that with the last of the potato salad.
Sidebar: I ate it on a slice of sourdough bread, cut in half, with mustard and mayonnaise. It was thick and juicy and tasted excellent. But the Wendy's Junior Bacon cheeseburger was way more impressive,
I watched TV until bedtime.
