Monday, moanin'

I woke up at 5:30 a.m. and watched some of the news with a cup of coffee. Then I made breakfast: eggs over easy with three bacon strips and toast. Excellent!

I posted to the blog and then gave my daughter Amy her birthday shoutout. That was fortunate as I couldn't get back into the Blogger, later. I tried everything, but had to ask Jake for help in the end.

I started getting the trash assembled for tomorrow's pickup. I took that and the recyclables out back (without a jacket) and was assailed by the wind, cold and light rain! It seems it was a raw, brutal day.

So, I waited until after 1:00 p.m. to go out again. I needed to get my prescriptions from CVS (tired of getting those robo-calls). This time I dressed more appropriately, but it was still damn cold.

Sidebar: The overcast skies would have hindered a good, last paint job on the cradle so I put that on hold for a brighter day.

I read in the living room, with the fireplace going, for the rest of the afternoon.

I made another BLT for my early dinner. I ate that with some green olives and it was great.

I watched the movie "Death Proof" (one of my favorites) and exchanged a few texts until bedtime.
