Well, my Christmas guests left at 8:30 AM this morning. They are heading for Port Huron to celebrate my granddaughter Riese's birthday and going home from there.
The house is very quiet. I'm trying to put it back in order, well, it was in order while they were here, but not my normal order (before they came, had to rearrange furniture in the office for sleeping space, take my casual clothes out of the office closet and hang them downstairs so they would have space for theirs, etc.).
Got the real, official paint color picked out for the living room and will go to Damman's (a local hardware that's going out of business and has everything 30-50% off) a bit later and buy it cheap (probably won't use it for a couple of months, but if I can save a buck, why not?)
Need to clean out the fridge. The cheesecake topping dripped out of the springform a few days back and made a mess of things...
Scruffy keeps wandering around and pitifully meowing. He's missing the excitement of having multiple laps to chose to be petted on.
House guests are fun, but I'm always a bit relieved to have my own routine back. However, for the first few days after people leave, loneliness presses in on me...
