... the tough go shopping! Lol!
Sad? Psawh!!!
Picked up my paint for the living room - not the "rose" I had (dare I say "pink") but a variation on "wine" that was what I wanted in the first place. Because they are going out of business, I got the top o' the line ($27 US) paint for $16.00! Got two gallons, put them inside to paint sometime later.
Stopped at Bombay, (my favorite store - it's where the "Singing Butler" painting came from, BTW) and picked up "Nicolette." Who says you can't spend enough money to have a gorgerous blonde to wait on you?
Added her to the photo section. BTW, she was 50% off! (I love shopping just after Christmas)
Realized when throwing away refridgerator stuff that I still had half a loaf of pumpernickle bread (left over from Lu's spinach dip) so decided to make a portobella mushroom soup (hearty enough to withstand the rough texture of pumpernickel bread). Needed an immersion blender (which I don't have) so I went to "Linens and Things" (they have a sale) but they were all out. Spent $29.00 on a Black and Decker glass blender (Okay, so not as easy, but you just have to let the soup cool and then blend it) which came with a $20.00 coupon - so I spent $9.00 for the actual blender.
The immersion blenders will be in next week...
