Friday night was a very frustrating night, food-wise. I had thawed hamburger to make tacos, but at the last minute, changed the menu to hamburgers and chips, with homemade chip dip.
Because of the change, I went to the party store for hamburger buns (I know better than to go to Farmer Jacks on a Friday night!) Picked some buns up, but they were so white-bread BLAH!
Spent almost an hour making the French onion chip dip, and it ended up tasting like crap. Made a mushroom topping for the burgers (topped with Lorraine Swiss cheese) and that was just so-so.
I was SO bummed...
Middle of the night, I woke up hungry, so I turned the rest of my hard-boiled eggs into egg salad on sourdough bread. Now THAT tasted good!
