Went to both World Market and Joanne Fabrics, trying to find something for my new entryway table. Everything that was dramatic enough was WAY too expensive. Finally settled (and I do mean "settled") on a glass vase with white/yellow flowers in that acrylic (or whatever) that looks like water. I'll keep my eyes open for something I REALLY want.
I also picked up a Spring wreath, made up of imitation forsythia branches, on sale. This completes the wreaths. I had one for Fall, one for Winter, then the old lighted Christmas wreath, and finally one for Christmas to Spring. Now I have Spring! Don't need a Summer, as the hanging plants make it look too crowded.
Then I went to Randazzo's. I had called and they said they still had some Sand Cherries. Picked out a nice one, about 3 1/2-4 foot tall. Also bought a Dogwood. It was finished blooming, so I don't know what color it is (do they come in colors?) That was at least 6 feet tall, and called for a lot of creative thinking to get it in the car. But I got them both home without breaking any branches!
Wheeled them out back, and after much deliberation, decided what went where and planted them both.
Now all I need is a flowering plum or crab apple and this year's rear garden planting is complete.
