Thursday

I was supposed to have company tonight. Tracey and Samson were coming over for dinner. So, Thursday morning, I peeled carrots potatoes and onions and threw them in my crockpot with a nice sirlion tip roast, mushrooms , sprigs of Rosemary and Thyme. Turned it on Low and went to work.

But, she called around 4:00 PM and said she had an unexpected guest from up North show up at her house and now she couldn't make it. Hmmm... that's a LOT of food plus a LOT of leftovers for just me. So, I called Jake and let him know that he and Carla were welcome to come help me eat this. He said he's check with Carla when she came to get him at work.

As luck would have it, they did decide to drop over. I thought the potatoes and carrots were a little tough (although they both said they like them better than the mushy ones) and was very disappointed in my gravy (Carla said she thought I didn't use enough corn starch). But, tough veggies and watery gravy aside, the taste was still excellent. Jake cleared the table and got the dishwasher ready to go, then they cleared out.

Did a load of laundry and watched some TV, but went to bed around 10:00 PM.
