Sunday...

Sunday, I needed to do all the chores I blew off on Saturday. Started out with breakfast: scrambled eggs mixed with crumbled bacon from yesterday. Washed the bedding in both rooms. When it dried, I sewed a rip in the daybed comforter that had the stuffing popping out.

Since I didn't want to take a lot of time cooking, I put a roast in the crockpot with potatoes, onions, carrots and mushrooms on top. Should be ready around 4:00 PM (if I am).

Really nice, sunny, mild day out. Took the rest of Saturday's pancakes (along with the carrot and potato peelings) out and scattered them for the birds and squirrels. I filled up the bird feeder and picked up some trash that had blown in the backyard.

I replaced the burned-out bulb in the outside light next to the garage man-door and picked up some trash in the front yard. Cut some boards in the garage for a project I'm working on.

Lunch was the last of Friday night's shrimp and arrugula, wrapped with Prosciutto (both dips were gone on Saturday, BTW. Excellent taste!) So, I was ready for Sunday dinner around 5:00 PM. Very good, meat was tender and this time I didn't even try for gravy, used the drippings as au jus. Cleaned everything up and called it a day.

Watched TV (Extreme Makeover was a two-hour show!) and the taped show Iron Chef America. Some where in there I made a cold roast beef sandwich with mustard for a snack.

I had a LOT of trouble falling asleep, although I have no idea why!
