So, now its Sunday, and everything I put off doing needs to be done! Made bacon and eggs for breakfast, then got to work. Finished sorting through my books (I now officially have more books than bookshelf space) and put a big box of the rejects in my trunk.
Went on my errand run. Dropped the books off at the Salvation Army store, picked up two prescriptions at CVS, went to the Dollar store (they didn't have what I wanted, though) and went grocery shopping.
Got home and did the remaining laundry. Finished decorating the tree and house (looks nice, but no time for pictures today). Cleaned the house and it was 4:30 PM already!
I had thawed out a package of talapia, so I made that "en Papillote" (in the parchment paper pouch). Added lemon slices, lemon zest, salt and pepper, a sprig of Rosemary and a bunch of thyme. Folded the pouch in the classic French way and brushed it with olive oil. I made two, one for today and one for later in the week. I baked two sweet potatoes and when they were done, I mashed them up with some butter. I also cooked all the parsnips I had.
The aroma when I cut open the pouch was fantastic! Great dinner!!!
Cleaned up the dinner dishes and watched TV until bedtime.
Mmmm. Sounds good.
ReplyDeleteI make a tasty Mediterranean talapia dish. It uses good ol' feta cheese. Want the recipe?
Sure! Email it to me, or you can share with the readers... Your choice!
