And now its Monday...

Drove to work in a blizzard. The snow changed to freezing rain about 9:00 AM. The storm finally blew through around 11:00 AM.

When I got home, I immediately went to work. I bought a new kitchen table and 6 chairs last week and they are supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. Why? Because another one of the chairs (inexpensive when purchased years ago) has come apart. That leaves me with only four good chairs (chairs I cannot find matches to, BTW).

I put the kitchen table in the garage, covered with a thick plastic drop cloth. I put the remaining good chairs into the office for later transport up to the attic. I then swept and washed the kitchen floor.

While that was drying, I was hand-sanding the duck. I have more or less resigned myself that it will not be finished in time for me to personally give to Stacey and James for their baby.

It was almost 8:00 PM when I stopped (I was STARVING!) I put the remaining quarter of cabbage in a pot with the juice from the corned beef and cabbage and cooked it, while I warmed up the corned beef and some of the potatoes. Still an excellent meal!

Did a load of sawdust covered clothes and watched TV until 11:30 PM.
