Woke up a little earlier, so made breakfast today. Homemade baking powder biscuits and white sausage gravy. I know its bad for me, but I love the stuff.
Cleaned up the kitchen from yesterday and today's meals, then cleaned myself up. Did some laundry, and then left about 1:30 PM to run some errands. It's sunny, but cool out. When I got home, I walked around the house and gardens. Noticed the daffodils are up about four inches (took a picture and posted it) so I raked the front garden to get out all the winter leaves.
Came in and made the marinade for my grilled citrus chicken thighs (pretty simple: Zest and juice of a lemon, a lime and an orange plus ten sprigs of thyme, salt and fresh ground pepper). With dinner getting happy, its time to go back to the dreaded duck.
Worked on the duck for a couple hours. I think is done as far as I can go with power tools. Next comes hand-sanding, but I need to get some fine sandpaper tomorrow. Cleaned up the sawdust mess as best I could. I took a rinse-off shower to get it out of my hair and beard.
Then I went in and took a nap, with the Nascar race on as background noise. When I woke up, I was hungry, so I made my Sunday dinner: Grilled chicken (on the two burner grill pan, not on the real grille) and mashed turnips. Very good, BTW.
Then I went and watched my Sunday night shows and went to sleep around 11:30 PM.
Nice weekend.
