Wet Thursday

We had an interesting mix of weather yesterday. I drove through a snowstorm to get to work, at lunchtime it was freezing rain, then it switched to just rain and POURED! They said on the news we got almost and inch and a half of rain total.

I did go out at lunch to the hardware store and picked up the washer (and an extra nut) that I needed to finish fixing the bathroom sink. Then I stopped at Meijers on the way home (in the rain) and picked up some foodstuffs for the weekend. It was very frustrating, because they didn't have any Gruyere cheese (don't you just hate it when you stop for Gruyere cheese and they're out?) Now I'll have to stop at Westborn Friday night.

Got home around 6:00 PM and found a voicemail from my daughter Melissa, oops, I mean M_______. So, I called her back, thinking I would hear of her adventures. She was supposed to stay with her nephew Carl while my daughter Amy and her husband went to Las Vegas to celebrate their 15 wedding anniversary. She did have an adventure, just not that one. I'll include her story in the next post.

After hanging up with her, I talked with my Mom for a bit. By that time, it was getting late and I was getting hungry. I guess it was talking with my Mom that made me think of it, but I made one of her old comfort-food standbys: tuna and peas over egg noodles.

I decided fixing the sink could wait a day, so I watched a little TV, fell asleep, woke up and went to bed.
