It seemed weird to be back to work today, after four days off. When I got home, I found I'd tricked myself. Yes, I had put all my painting clothes in the washer, but never put them in the drier. So, while they were drying, I put masking tape on the fan and the hall light. Then I warmed up a burger and ate it and a little potato salad for dinner.
I lugged the chop saw out to the patio and cut all the trim Jake had taken off into one-foot sections. Next I started a fire in the chiminea to burn them all. It was a little tricky as 50 year old stained and varnished wood burns pretty hot. So, you had to put enough in to keep the fire going, but not so much that the flames shoot out the top!
I talked with Luanne for a bit (I had a question about "nicking" morning glory seeds). It's over 90 degrees F. in Virginia these days and they have been busy moving goats, bush-hogging pastures, etc.
Clothes finally got dry, so I changed and began painting the ceiling. Finished at 8:33 PM, got everything cleaned up and then watched "House" and "Boston Legal" then went to sleep.
