After being up half the night, I woke up late (almost 9:00 AM). Bad way to start a vacation day I took to get work done! Then, instead of getting to work, I spent the next few hours having a panic attack, just thinking about everything I had to do.
Finally headed out to Lowes and dropped $350 on the first (but definitely not the last) of the supplies I need. Ate a Greek salad at the Newburgh Grille for lunch. Stopped at the gas station by my house and had my "slow-leak" tire fixed (tired of filling it up every two days). Nothing in it, but a definite hole. Cost me $15 (This was the same guy who charged me $30 last time - go figure.)
Got home and started installing trailer hardware (anything but having to face that kitchen) Got everything but the back hinges on (the one's I bought are too short to allow for the 3/4 inch add-ons). I should just buy two more 1" x 12" x 10' boards and do it right, I suppose. I dunno...
Again, I had visitors while working in the garage. One neighbor across the street came to tell me how nice the trailer was looking, and then my next door neighbor came over to tell me the gang-bangers across the street have moved out (good news!)
I finally went inside and finished up my laundry. The doorbell rang. It was the wife of my lawn service guy (who cut my lawn on Monday, not the 14th, but the 7th and then never came back.) I was actually going to call them tonight, but she saved me the trouble. She said she would be back to cut the lawn on Monday and then every Monday. She apologized, but she and her husband are getting divorced, so she's taking over cutting the lawns on this street. It's a shame. They were a real nice couple and have several kids.
Took down the kitchen phone. I got an open box deal at Best Buy on two cordless phones so I can put the extra handset (that doesn't need a phone line) in the living room and the main unit in my bedroom (all part of the "master plan" for the kitchen, you see)
I made smoked sausage, potatoes and onions for dinner and quit for the night.
